Books

Changes that seem small and unimportant at first will compound into remarkable results if you're willing to stick with them for years. We all deal with setbacks but in the long run, the quality of our lives often depends on the quality of our thoughts and habits. Mindset is everything, never stop working on yours x

Atomic Habits by James Clear

My favourite book to date. I read the whole thing in 2 days, and would read again. An engaging, hands on guide to break bad habits and make better ones. It will change how you approach your day and live your life. ’It doesn’t matter how successful or unsuccessful you are right now. What matters is whether your habits are putting you on the path toward success’.

Unlimited Power by Anthony Robbins

I read this book while travelling solo in Bali. If you have ever dreamed of a better life, it will show you how to achieve the extraordinary quality you desire and deserve, and how to master it on a personal and professional level. If i had to choose between this and awaken the giant within i would choose this-it effected me more maybe because of the stage i was at in my life when I read them. Anything Tony Robbins puts his hand to is going to be amazing. He also has some fantastic Youtube videos and his series on Netflix ‘I Am Not Your Guru’. WATCH IT!

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson

Manson advises us to get to know our limitations and accept them. Once we embrace our fears, faults, and uncertainties, once we stop running and avoiding and start confronting painful truths, we can begin to find the courage, perseverance, honesty, responsibility, curiosity, and forgiveness we seek. There are only so many things we can give a f**k about so we need to figure out which ones really matter! What we give our time to defines us so we need to make smart choices. While money is nice, caring about what you do with your life is better, because true wealth is about experience!!!

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle

This book is intended to be a guide for day-to-day living and stresses the importance of living in the present moment and avoiding thoughts of the past or future. So many of us worry about tomorrow instead of being grateful for TODAY. A very deep read that will really open your mind.

Who Moved My Cheese? by Dr Spencer Johnson

A great short read-I had the whole thing finished in 30 minutes. An amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a maze and look for cheese to nourish them and make them happy. Cheese is a metaphor for what you want to have in life, for example a good job, a loving relationship, money or possessions, health or spiritual peace of mind. The maze is where you look for what you want, perhaps the organisation you work in, or the family or community you live in. The problem is that the cheese keeps moving. Food for thought!
