INGREDIENTS:

  • 270g wholemeal flour
  • 130g plain flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 25g softened butter
  • 240ml buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp mixed seeds

 

METHOD:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190.
  2. Rub the butter into the dry ingredients.
  3. Add the buttermilk and mix using your hands.
  4. Pop the mixture into a greased loaf tin, sprinkle over with the seeds (or mix through the mixture) and bake the loaf for 40 minutes.
